Skyler's Two Year Old Birthday Party!

Last week it was our adorable little nephew's birthday party.  He turned 2.  You're really getting up there Skyman!  It was a digger theme party, since after all, diggers are all the rage right now.  In Skyler's head they are anyway :)  Hollie and McKell had their time share up at Snowbird so that's where we partied.

Look how freakin cute he is!
McKell, or "pompa" as the babies call him
Cute Willow, birthday boy's momma
Baby girl Lilly, she's so stinking cute!
Hollie, or to the babies, "Mi Ma Hoo Hoo".  LOVE this name!
T. Carter Maudsley, birthday boy's very prestigious father ;)
Delicious food!

Cute uncle Wren
America's next top model, Allyssum.  Watch out Kim Kardashian :)
Uncle Ryan, he's so kewl
Birthday boy playing with his new green dump truck.  Mi Ma Hoo Hoo gave it to him, it's safe to say that it was the beloved gift from the party.

It was the perfect summer night :)
I can't get over how cute these babies are together!  Love them!
Lilly even got a present.  A snowbird bear with a backpack from Mi Ma!
Then the adults got their game faces on to see who could get through the cones with the fastest time without knocking them over.
It was dead serious.

This one below, of Willow, is my all time favorite!  She's so happy go lucky :)
Wren beat everyone.  I could see it in his eyes that he just had to win.... Pretty funny!

Thanks for being born Skydiz, we sure do love your two year old self!

Fun Weekend Giveaway!

Hi everyone, happy glorious Friday to you all!

Something exciting to start the weekend off right:

Crystal is giving away these two pillows I made over at Wanna Be Balanced today! If you are following my blog here (which you probably are if you're reading this) you already have an entry to win! So go check it out if you'd like to be in the drawing.

Crystal is super gorgeous, sweet, a health guru, and her blog is downright AWESOME and so fun to read!

She writes,

"The key, I think, is being organized and learning to get our priorities straight. There’s nothing like the feeling of accomplishment! I LOVE being organized, having schedules and “to do” lists.

Being balanced and organized are really the key factors to achieving our goals and dreams in life.

Ever since I can remember I’ve had this “passion” for it. I like to say, “passion”, and not “obsession”."

See cool right? We ALL want balance in our lives so go check it out here and enter to win these pillows while you're at it!

Happy Weekend to You!

Father's Day 2011!

Wow it's been awhile since I have actually posted anything on this blog because I have been so busy with my other one! Wren said last night, "Sad Sav, you neglect the other one now", so I do need to keep up on this one since it is the one I print every year.

Yesterday we went over to my grandparents to celebrate Father's Day. Very relaxing and it's always good to catch up with them!
I made all of the skirts we're rockin... check out the tutorial here. I promise it's SUPER easy and if I can do it you can do it :)
My grandpa is so super cute, rather hilarious, and is so special to all of us. I do have to say he is the most handsome grandpa on the block as well. His caramels and toffee are to die for and he is the best grandpa to all of us :) They are so good at coming out and visiting all their grand-kids on their birthdays and I look forward to his funny emails everyday. He has worked very hard throughout his life and deserves to take a break now. Take some naps for me grandpa! I love him so much! Happy GRAND-Father's Day to you Grandpa!
I also love my dad so so so so much. He is the sweetest, kindest dad I could ever have asked for. I am so lucky to have had such a wonderful man raise me. I know I always have him no matter what and that is just so incredible to know! He would drop anything to help me out and I thank him so much for that! He will be the funnest grandpa and will love to hang out with the grand babies one day. That will be the best. They will love him as much as I do!
Plus he loves to shop, what daughter doesn't love that?

I also have to say how thankful I am for my sweet father-in-law. He is so kind and caring and would do anything to help us out. He is a silent server. If you stop to watch him, he is always doing kind things for everyone. He is an extremely hard worker and would do anything for his family. He is the cutest grandpa EVER to Lils and Skyman, and I can't wait to see him with our babies one day! I am so thankful for him in my life too. Happy Father's Day to you Mckell! You'll see where Wren gets his good looks....(from you too Hollie!)
Sorry we didn't capture any moments from your party on Friday, we were too busy being immature with Fat Booth :)

I hope you all were able to celebrate any daddies in your lives!

I am 25

I am 25

I was thinking about the last five years today and how really, it's all just one big blur, and the older I get, the blurrier it gets. I can't really remember what happened when, and the years just seem to blend into one another. It's so funny because I can remember being in high school and everything was such a big deal and I remembered everything so vividly. Who said what about who, and stupid trivial things like that. Things that were a big deal back then, wouldn't even make me bat an eye today, and if something does have an impact on me, an hour later I will have forgotten it even happened. Why is this? Am I pre-menopausal already?

Turning 25 last year was a groundbreaking moment for me.... it was the realization that I am officially in my mid-twenties. Again, how did this happen? Getting from 20 to 25. I don't remember it happening. I feel a mix of emotions when I think about it. I'm happy because I think the older I get, the more I am figuring myself out. Trust me, I still have a long way to go in that department, but I am understanding the crazy foreign language that is constantly rolling inside my head a little bit better. With a Cosmetology License and a Bachelors degree, I still have no idea, really, what I want to do. I do know I want to be Wren's wife and the mom to his babies one day though, and I guess that's all the really matters. A depressing thought is that my face will never look any younger, my hair will slowly start to grow gray, my butt ain't gettin any tighter....but with them comes wisdom I suppose. I just remember being 18 and wanting so badly to be in my twenties so people would value my opinion; treat me like an adult. Now that I'm here, I want to be younger as to not have to feel the pressure of having to have it all figured out. I want time to STOP.

Here are the last five years in pictures, they help me remember a little bit better what happened. Thought you might enjoy. Oh, and please do tell which hairstyle you like the best, I would LOVE to know :)
