We went boating with my family for the 24th, and there are few things in life that compare to this for me. It's the best too when there is no agenda, which is the story of my family's life. We just mostly like to hang out on the boat, catch some rays, relax, and talk, talk, talk. And eat too. I haven't had a relaxing day like this in ages and it was just what I needed. To top it off, Wren and I drove home, I took a beloved two hour nap (I had chills of happiness the whole time), and while I was sleeping, Wren went and got me a cafe rio salad, isn't he the best!? And to make the day even more fantastic, we watched LOST, we are only on season three and are obsessed, and then went and got ice cream in between watching sessions and came back and ate it and watched more LOST. Having a day to do nothing and spend quality time with Wren is the best. I think we get so busy in our everyday lives, we forget to enjoy the simple things like this. I have, count with my, THREE DAYS OF SCHOOL LEFT AND I AM DONE! I can't wait. It's bittersweet and I have loved the U, but I am so excited to have tons of time to focus on my marriage and my relationships with family and friends. Going to school, I always felt rushed or guilty for having fun because in the back of my mind I was thinking about the paper I had to write, or the test I had to study for. So it will be so refreshing to have days again where I can relax and enjoy the simplicity of life. Below are some pics from boating.

Wren tubing with my little sister and her friend. He's such a champ, they needed someone to ride in the middle and my parents and I weren't feeling it, so willing Wren took one for the team....for 45 minutes! Ha, so funny watching him out there with them.
It was also my good friend Katie's birthday, she's growing up so fast, ha ha, and so went to Lonestar and ate some good old fashioned Mexican food. I love that restaurant, and we ate outside, yet another perk of summer time, it was so fun. Nothing is better than girl time. I think it's the best remedy for most everything. Here's to you Kaddy, 24 is going to be a great year, not that you or anyone there has a blog, which is really lame, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
So Wren has been wanting a downhill mountain bike for the last year or so. It has become an addiction and it has consumed him.... and me! It's all I have heard about forever, like seriously, every convo somehow ended up in the realm of mountain biking.... but we couldn't really afford one because they are pretty pricey. I had kind of been thinking about buying one for him and surprising him with it, but I never knew which bike to get because every bike he saw was "the perfect bike for him". Well one day a couple weeks ago, it was my day off and Wren took a longer break from work so we went to lunch and then we went to this bike shop that he has been wanting to go to. And right after we walk in Wren sees yet ANOTHER bike that he has to have. He test rode it, and was in love. After we left, it's all he could talk about. After he went back to work, and I went to school, he kept texting me about how much he loved that bike, and I just kept texting him saying we didn't have money blah blah blah, but in my head I had decided to go buy it for him and surprise him with it when he got home from work, which is exactly what I did. I went to the bike shop after, got the bike he wanted and had them put bigger handle bars and tires on it because that's what he has always wanted. I brought it home and set it up so he would see it right when he walked in. I wish with everything I would have recorded his reaction because it was literally priceless. He opened the door, saw the bike, and then slammed the door back shut. I was so confused thinking, okay is he mad? Happy? And he stayed outside for like 20 seconds, right as I went to open the door to see what the heck he was doing, he walked in and almost was in tears, he kept saying, "This isn't happening, I am dreaming! No you didn't. Is this real?"..... things of this nature I heard for over an hour. So I am so happy that he loved it, he deserves something fun, because he is the best! Now every time we go anywhere, he's like, "Sav I need to get home to my bike, it misses me!" And he pets his bike frequently, I'm worried he likes it more than me??! Below are some picture.....
